Quick Reference — Key Operating Parameters
Optimal Dosage Range
0.3 – 0.6 kg/t
Adjust based on ore grade & mineralogy
Operating pH
10.0 – 11.5
Use lime to maintain alkalinity
Leach Residence Time
12 – 48 hours
CIL/CIP; longer for complex ores
Operating Temperature
15°C – 45°C
No heating required for most ores
Dissolved Oxygen
4 – 8 mg/L
Maintain with aeration or oxygen injection
Pulp Density
35 – 45% solids
Standard CIL/CIP operating range
Issue Category
Low Gold Recovery
2 common issues
Possible Causes
- CNLITE dosage too low for ore grade or mineralogy
- pH outside optimal range (below 9.0 or above 11.5)
- Insufficient leach residence time
- High preg-robbing carbon or organic matter in ore
- Ore contains refractory gold not amenable to direct leaching
Recommended Actions
- Increase CNLITE dosage by 0.1 kg/t increments and monitor recovery response
- Check and adjust pH to 10.0–11.5 using lime addition
- Extend leach time — run 24-hour leach tests to determine optimal residence time
- Test for preg-robbing by adding activated carbon to leach slurry
- Commission a diagnostic leach test — contact CNLITE Africa technical team
Escalate: If recovery remains below 88% after dosage and pH optimisation, contact our technical team for a diagnostic ore characterisation.
